This project will help governors and their senior staff form strategies that can be applied across Medicaid, state employee health plans, and commercial plans to curb costs and improve value. The National Governors Association (NGA) will establish an advisory committee of leading experts and convene two roundtable meetings (with state and industry leaders) to surface key design elements for states. It is expected that up to 12 geographically and politically diverse states will be represented. NGA will develop an issue brief highlighting the findings of the meetings and promising state practices with key steps and insights.
