Under the direction of Dr. Kedar Mate, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) will seek to recruit 30 to 45 Medicare Advantage plans to participate in the learning and action network (LAN). The IHI team will form a partnership with a Medicare Advantage (MA) association or network to support research into priority areas for MA plans and complex‐care delivery; these findings will facilitate the identification of the type of MA plans participating as well as the topics of focus for the learning community. The implementation of the LAN will take place over the course of a year. The two six-month, goal‐oriented topic modules will feature measurable activities and action steps.
