The main goals of this project are to research and publish a landscape assessment of digital health opportunities in Medicaid and impact on health equity. This work will identify barriers and opportunities for use of digital tools in populations vulnerable to inequity (in this context – people depending on Medicaid). This work will 1) conduct an in-depth environmental scan and analysis of existing literature studies, 2) design and deploy a survey to key stakeholders (e.g. state leadership, local public health leaders, payers, providers, investors, digital health companies etc.), and 3) convene an advisory group of experts and innovators. The assessment and landscape will inform recommendations on how policy leaders can create more effective digital health investments that address health equity.
