Over the two-year grant period, a total of 10 reporters — five each year — will evaluate a local, regional, or national health system issue. Guidance will be provided through seminars, conference calls, consultations, an editor–mentor, exposure to experts, and connection with a network of health care journalists at the Association of Health Care Journalists’ conferences and workshops. Each fellow will produce an investigative or explanatory story or series of stories, in any media format. Past fellows frequently turn to the Fund as a resource for their reporting.
