Rachel Schwab is a senior research associate at the Georgetown University Health Policy Institute's Center on Health Insurance Reforms. Her current research focuses on private health insurance and the impact of the Affordable Care Act, with an emphasis on the implementation of the state health insurance exchanges. Prior to her position at CHIR, she worked at the Guttmacher Institute, where she conducted research on reproductive health care and access to family planning services. She has previously worked at the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. Schwab earned her B.A. in English and American Studies from Northwestern University.
