Mark A. Weiss is a former junior research scientist at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University. Previously, he worked as a research project specialist at the RAND Corporation and a Medicaid policy and business team intern at the Georgia Health Policy Center. He is a founding member of the COVID Border Accountability Project (COBAP), an initiative that tracked global travel and migration policy responses to the COVID-19 pandemic. He has contributed to work that has appeared in JAMA Health Forum, Scientific Reports, and Scientific Data. In August 2023, Weiss joined the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, as a Ph.D. student in political science and public policy. He holds a B.A. in political science and mathematics from Emory University.
