Emma Walsh-Alker is a senior research associate at the Center on Health Insurance Reforms (CHIR) at Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy. Her research investigates policy developments that impact consumer access to affordable and comprehensive private health insurance. Prior to her position at CHIR, Walsh-Alker served as an administrator for the Biden Health Policy Committee, focusing on equitable public health policy. She has previously worked on education and labor issues at Georgetown’s Center on Education and the Workforce. Walsh-Alker earned a B.A. in political science with a concentration in gender and sexuality studies from Haverford College.
