Published by the <em><a href="https://hbr.org/2016/02/speeding-up-the-digitization-of-american-health…; target="_blank">Harvard Business Review</a></em>, “Speeding Up the Digitization of American Health Care,” by The Commonwealth Fund’s David Blumenthal, M.D., and Hunch Analytics founder Aneesh Chopra, reviews progress on electronic health records to date as well as the technical challenges and economic issues that have so far prevented digital data from realizing its health improvement potential.</p><p>On <em><a href="/blog/2016/best-way-share-health-records-app-patients-hands">The Commonwealth Fund Blog</a></em>, Chopra, Blumenthal, and the Fund’s Eric Schneider, M.D., reveal in "The Best Way to Share Health Records? An App in the Patient’s Hands” how the regulatory path is now open to an application programming interface, or API ,that will allow patients to share their own electronic health records.</p>
