Health reform is picking up steam in Congress. One of the most controversial aspects of the debate is proving to be whether employers and individuals should have the option to obtain health insurance through a public plan that is similar to Medicare.

The latest webcast in the "Talking Health" series, presented by the Association of Health Care Journalists, The Commonwealth Fund, and the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism, will be streamed live this Friday, May 1, at 2:30 p.m., E.D.T. This episode will feature two health policy experts: Cathy Schoen, senior vice president for research and evaluation at The Commonwealth Fund, and Bruce M. Bullen, chief operating officer of Harvard Pilgrim Health Care. Two journalist experts, Noam Levey, a reporter in the Washington Bureau of the Los Angeles Times, and Reed Abelson of The New York Times, will provide their insights and suggestions for reporters covering what will be a major story in the coming months.

To watch the webcast or to submit questions in advance, visit the Association of Health Care Journalists' Web site at http://www.healthjou…;.
