As Millions of Americans Sign Up for ACA Coverage, a New Study and Consumers' Stories Point to Reform's Successes

<p>Despite the threat of repeal, Affordable Care Act (ACA) marketplace enrollment is running ahead of last year's pace. This week, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) reported that 6.4 million people have newly enrolled in health plans through HealthCare.gov, the ACA’s federal health insurance marketplace.</p><p>In a new <em>To the Point</em> post, The Commonwealth Fund's Sara Collins cites new Commonwealth Fund research, and stories told by Americans who have gained insurance through the law, to show how this new coverage is improving people’s lives by providing financial and medical security.</p>
