AcademyHealth Disparities Interest Group Meeting
<p>Join your fellow researchers, practitioners, and advocates to advance efforts in improving racial and ethnic equality in health care at the Commonwealth Fund-sponsored meeting of the Disparities Interest Group on June 10 in Washington, D.C., following AcademyHealth's Annual Research Meeting.<br /><br />The meeting will feature an interactive demonstration and panel discussion on "Identifying and Addressing Provider Bias in Health Care Settings." Panelists are Michelle van Ryn, Ph.D., M.P.H., University of Minnesota Medical School; Paul Hebert, Ph.D., VA Puget Sound Health Care System; and Lisa Cooper, M.D., M.P.H., The Johns Hopkins University. Fund grantee Robert Weech-Maldonado, Ph.D., M.B.A., of the College of Public Health and Health Professions, University of Florida, will moderate.<br /><br />The meeting will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Marriot Wardman Park Hotel.
