The research team will address the following: state action to implement the No Surprises Act, which protects consumers from unexpected medical bills; state action to make health insurance coverage more affordable following the expansion of premium assistance under the American Rescue Plan; how states can advance health equity in qualified health plans offered through the marketplace; and other state or federal policy developments affecting access, affordability, and adequacy of coverage in the individual market.
