The research team will provide timely analysis of unfolding policy developments through blog posts on the Fund’s website, longer analytic pieces published in Health Affairs, Fund issue briefs, and internal memoranda for Fund staff. Areas of policy focus include: the anticipated passage and implementation of the Medicaid fallback option in the reconciliation bill, the implementation of the postpartum coverage reform in the American Rescue Plan Act and potentially made permanent under reconciliation in collaboration with the Advancing Health Equity program, legal developments in the courts including developments in the reproductive rights cases in Mississippi and Texas, the end of the pandemic public health emergency Medicaid continuous enrollment requirement, and the Biden Administration’s use of 1115 waivers.
