This project will seek to refine the Racial Equity in Healthcare Progress Report’s metrics and methods, spread the tool across all of Illinois’s health care institutions, and forge partnerships with national organizations to scale up what is expected to be a validated approach for documenting health systems’ progress in achieving racial health equity. Activities over the next two years include: 1) conducting a pilot with all Illinois health care organizations and a statewide learning collaborative (Illinois’s Improvement Action Network); 2) developing a playbook for implementing interventions that increase health equity; 3) conducting a national pilot and a national learning collaborative (National Improvement Action Network); and 4) launching the national implementation strategy.
