Supporting Medicaid Expansion in Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Wyoming

This project aims to harness the momentum from the recent Medicaid expansion referendum victories in Missouri and Oklahoma. Building off this energy, this project will focus on two tracks. The first track will be the continuation of work in Missouri and Oklahoma with a targeted focus on full implementation of Medicaid expansion, slated for July 1, 2021, in each state. In parallel, the second track will focus on two nonexpansion states – Mississippi and Wyoming – that have pathways to expand either legislatively or by referendum. Families USA will provide 1) rapid response technical assistance; 2) in-depth legal and policy analysis; and 3) dissemination of facts around the value of Medicaid expansion, including via storytelling.
