The Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS) recently launched the Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP), which aims to broadly support states’ Medicaid payment and delivery system reform efforts by serving as a vehicle to provide more coordinated communication and technical assistance on cross-cutting issues. CMCS is looking to empanel a set of experts to review the literature and provide recommendations as they develop technical assistance contracts to ensure the work of IAP is grounded in evidence-based research. CMCS approached the Fund for ongoing support of the expert panel in order to ensure that the priorities that emerge are applicable, relevant, and driven by those with insights into state policy. Under this project, the expert panel will focus on super utilizers. If this first phase is successful, we will pursue funding for phase 2 which will focus on community integration in the spring.
