Launched in 2006, Quality Matters continues to be a popular resource for an audience of roughly 19,000 health care providers, policymakers, and researchers. Currently, the bimonthly publication supports topics related to the Fund’s Delivery System and Breakthrough Opportunities Programs. It reports on innovative efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of care and highlights organizations that are successfully reducing health care costs and improving the quality of care and care outcomes. Recent issues have focused on vulnerable populations, care coordination, the strengthening of primary care, and testing of innovative care delivery models. The publication also compiles a list of the 12 most influential articles related to health care delivery reform from the prior two months, a service that surveys show is valued by audiences. In the coming year, the newsletter will be redesigned. The team will explore a new name to reflect new programmatic priorities. The format for the newsletter will be also be modified. We will explore more frequent and different modes to deliver information and to exploit social media. This proposed grant would provide funding for the production of the newsletter over the next 12 months.
