Building on the experts’ recommendations, the team at the Long-Term Quality Alliance (LTQA) will work with the Community Living Center at Brandeis University’s Lurie Institute for Disability Policy to develop and pilot an approach in at least one state for obtaining more timely and complete information on Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) needs and service use among younger adults living with disabilities. LTQA will work with experts and stakeholders — federal and state policymakers, as well as provider and advocacy organizations that focus on this population — to identify the highest-priority data gaps to address. It will then work with state leaders and local researchers to create an implementation plan and deploy the new survey instrument. This work will also yield a database on LTSS needs and service use for future state use.
