Georgetown University's Center for Children and Families will conduct a literature review to incorporate the most recent research findings into a Commonwealth Fund issue brief on near- and long-term benefits of Medicaid coverage for children. Focus will be on the following key areas: health status/outcomes (general health status, diabetes and other diseases, risky behaviors), education (school achievement, school completion, higher education), maternal and infant mortality, childhood development, financial security, employment and earnings, and public returns on investment (e.g. tax payments, reduced use of public benefits, etc.).
