To support states in improving their public health systems, the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) will 1) build a toolkit for public health modernization and 2) establish a learning collaborative to provide up to five states with technical assistance to develop modernization plans. The toolkit will guide states in how to leverage new investments, shape state policy and regulatory landscapes, rebuild infrastructure, partner with the private sector, and better align public health, health care, and human services systems. Throughout the project, NASHP will engage the federal government and elevate lessons learned via educational briefings on Capitol Hill and with administration officials.
