Regardless of the outcome of King v. Burwell, the case will have important ramifications for states but there is currently no timely forum for state leaders from relevant agencies and legislative committees to learn the details of the ruling, assess the impact, and think about next steps. This project will provide a forum for state policymakers from all 50 states to convene telephonically to discuss the impact of the decision, learn from designated experts, and identify options to move forward with health reform implementation. In order to disseminate the results of the discussion, the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) will summarize the key findings in a brief and distribute the brief to their broad network.
