Conducted in partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Health, the first Israel–United States International Meeting on Health Policy will bring together 24 leading U.S. and Israeli health care policy thinkers to compare health reform efforts under way in both countries. Participants in the two‐day forum in Haifa will compare strategies implemented to improve health system performance for high‐need, high‐cost patients and other vulnerable populations. Key topics will include: new care models for patients with diabetes and those with multiple chronic conditions; integrating health and social services; meeting the health care needs of immigrants; and using health information technology to transform care. Clinic site visits will enable participants to gain firsthand knowledge of frontline health care delivery innovations.
