For this project, AcademyHealth will coordinate efforts to plan a robust study tour focused on the use of digital health strategies in caring for rural and indigenous populations in Australia; cost-control mechanisms and the use of emerging technologies in Singapore; and the motivation, design, and implementation of New Zealand’s 2022 health reform, including its focus on technological advancement and health equity. The project has four key aims: 1) to understand major features of and current policy issues in the Australian, New Zealand, and Singaporean health care systems; 2) to curate resources that explain salient features of each country’s history, culture, economy, and political system; 3) to codesign an itinerary to support the Fund’s goals of building and maintaining partnerships; and 4) to enable participation of U.S. health care leaders and experts for expanding the Fund’s network and promoting
knowledge exchange.
