Under the direction of SSRS, the 2017 International Survey, the 20th in this series, will assess health care system performance and responsiveness from the perspective of adults age 65 and older. Conducted in 11 countries—Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States—the survey will ask about timely access to care, financial barriers and out-of pocket costs, care coordination and support for self-management, the need for social services and home care, caregiver burden, and long-term care.
The proposed budget includes the costs for completing the survey in the program’s five English-speaking countries, plus the Fund’s contribution of $37,438 to co-fund the survey in the Netherlands. Funding will be sought from country partners to conduct the survey in the remaining countries.
