The Commonwealth Fund’s 2016 International Health Policy Survey, the 19th in an annual series, will assess health care system performance and responsiveness from the perspective of the general public. Conducted in 11 countries, the survey will ask residents about access to care, costs, and care experiences, with particular attention to changes that have taken place since the last general population survey in 2013. Results will be presented at The Commonwealth Fund’s 2016 International Symposium and submitted to Health Affairs; they also will inform other Fund analyses. In the U.S., survey findings will be useful in gauging the impact of the Affordable Care Act. This grant will cover survey design, project management, and costs related to fielding the survey in five English-speaking countries.
