To inform the national health reform debate, researcher Katie Keith will produce several Fund publications on topics such as: litigation over federal rules to implement the No Surprises Act and how the courts are being used to undermine even modest cost containment measures adopted by Congress; new federal rules to interpret Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and their implications for people of color, LGBTQ people, and other underserved communities; recent congressional or executive activity to advance the goals of the ACA; new opportunities for federal and state officials to advance health equity; and a need for renewed focus on cost sharing and consumer out-of-pocket costs.
