This project will shed light on how health care workers see discrimination operating within their profession, how prevalent they believe it is, what they understand the implications are, and how they think it could be changed. The findings will support a broad range of efforts to decrease bias and health disparities. The team will partner with an advisory committee of experts to design the study. The researchers will conduct six virtual focus groups, each with five to seven participants, to gather data to inform the design of a national poll of 3,000 health care workers.
