The NGA team will conduct a roundtable to help states develop, coordinate, and sustain health system change. At this one to one-and-a-half-day event, state-level executive staff will be able to learn from national experts on a timely, pressing topic, such as identifying and advancing solutions for high-need, high-cost populations or sustaining multipayer reforms once federal State Innovation Model grant funding ends. The roundtable, which will feature presentations and facilitated discussions, will be attended by approximately 30 individuals, including officials from three to four states that have successfully implemented reforms or are interested in doing so, as well as federal officials and policy experts. The Fund will work with the NGA and state leaders to identify the most salient topic. The roundtable discussions will help critical decision-makers at the state level gain a better understanding of important and complex health policy issues.
