This grant will enable SSRS to subcontract with NorStat, their long-standing survey field partner in Norway, to enable the inclusion of the Norwegian health care system in the 2020 International Health Policy Survey. SSRS will lead the project and will subcontract with NorStat to conduct the fieldwork. Data will be collected from a nationally representative sample of 500 adults age 18 and older. The 2020 survey aims to assess health care system performance from the perspectives of adults, comparing access to care, out-of-pocket costs, insurance complexity and administrative burden, care coordination, and management of chronic conditions. A new module on behavioral health, social services, and navigation of the health care and social care systems will complement questions that were added to the 2019 survey of primary care physicians.
