This grant will continue a long-standing partnership with the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and IQ Scientific Institute for Quality of Healthcare to enable the inclusion of the Dutch health care system in the 2019 International Health Policy Survey. The 2019 survey will compare the experiences and views of primary care physicians in 11 countries, including: overall views of their country’s health system; preparedness to manage patients with complex needs; ability to coordinate care with mental health and social services; office systems and use of information technology; administrative burdens and insurance complexity; and job satisfaction. The IQ Healthcare team will lead the project in the Netherlands, conduct the fieldwork and complete 500 interviews, and publish findings internationally and in other formats targeted at key Dutch audiences.
