State legislatures play a major role in implementing and sustaining health system reforms. The bipartisan National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) is uniquely qualified to reach key legislators and staff in every state. This grant will enable NCSL to continue to engage this target Commonwealth Fund audience in dialogue about promising health system reforms and policy innovations through a session at NCSL’s Legislative Summit, a one-day preconference at its Fall Forum, continued technical assistance to selected states, and a variety of publications and other materials. Fund support will also help NCSL maintain its health reform legislative database and respond to legislator inquiries.
