The National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) will build on their previous work to educate state policymakers on policy options and successes to improve access, quality, and efficiency in health care, as well as implications for states related to the evolving federal landscape, 2020 elections, and state budgets. The Commonwealth Fund will sponsor virtual convenings and a session at the 2020 NCSL Capitol Forum (contingent on ability to travel). Agendas for all convenings/sessions will be developed with Fund input. Fund support also will help NCSL maintain its legislative tracking database, respond to inquiries from state legislators, and disseminate publications, including a podcast, blog posts, and e-newsletters. NCSL will provide bipartisan, nonadvocacy, trusted, and timely information on pressing priority topics in state legislatures while also ensuring the Fund’s work is reaching state policymakers.
