Sherry Glied’s research team at New York University will provide programming and data support for Fund staff and grantee research related to health care coverage and access, using the Current Population Survey, Medical Expenditure Panel Survey, and other publicly available datasets. While maintaining flexibility in responding to policy developments as they occur, she and her staff will produce up to three papers to address: the effect of a policy of continuous Medicaid enrollment on continuity of care; an examination of variation in the uptake of new pharmaceutical innovations and resulting disparities in health care access; and the contribution of out-of-pocket maximums on high out-of-pocket spending for people with private
insurance.
