The Commonwealth Fund’s annual Bipartisan Congressional Retreat offers members of Congress and their key staff the opportunity to engage in substantive dialogue about timely health policy issues in an environment removed from partisan politics, jurisdictional debates, and media pressures. The 2016 retreat will provide participants with a valuable opportunity to assess the affordability and adequacy of coverage expansions and evolving delivery system and payment reforms. Besides providing the Fund with a way to reach an influential audience, the retreat also is an opportunity to highlight Fund research and analysis and develop working relationships with members of Congress, administration officials, and their staff. Building off successful events in July 2014 and May 2015, the Alliance will also conduct two breakfast briefings for members on Capitol Hill.
