The Technical Assistance Collaborative (TAC) will develop a blog and webinar series to highlight how Medicaid and other resources can be leveraged to help prevent and respond to behavioral health crises for children and adolescents. The series will delve into six to eight key topics, and TAC will produce a blog post and an accompanying webinar to highlight emerging best practices and opportunities for each topic. The first three topics have already been selected and will cover: 1) strategies for using Medicaid authorities to cover crisis prevention and intervention services; 2) where schools fit within the 9-8-8 and crisis response system for children and adolescents; and 3) how states can improve access to behavioral health services through creative workforce initiatives and financing strategies. Remaining topics will be determined with Fund staff over the course of the project to ensure that topics are responsive to emerging state needs and policy opportunities.
