Launched in 2013, The Commonwealth Fund’s Affordable Care Act Tracking Survey has provided policymakers and the media with insights into the experiences of people with coverage through the marketplaces and Medicaid. In 2014, the Fund also developed the Affordability Tracking Survey to measure changes in consumers’ ability to afford coverage and care across all insurance types. This grant will support the sixth survey in the ACA tracking series to be fielded after the 2016 open enrollment period, as well as one wave of the affordability survey. Given the lag time of federal surveys, these Fund surveys will continue to serve as an important source of up-to-date information for policymakers on the law’s ongoing impact.
