SSRS will conduct the 2016 Commonwealth Fund International Survey in France on behalf of the Haute Autorité de Santé (HAS) and Caisse Nationale de l’Assurance Maladie des Travailleurs Salariés (CNAMTS). The Fund’s 2016 International Health Policy Survey, the 19th in the series, will assess health care system performance from the perspective of the general public in 11 countries, comparing access to care, costs, and care experiences. Given the problems encountered in 2015, SSRS has engaged a different research partner, Advanced Market Research (AMR), to conduct the French telephone interviews in 2016. This grant will cover survey design, project management, and costs related to fielding the survey in France. The French survey will include a nationally representative sample of 1,000 adults (ages 18 and older) and seven additional France-specific questions. As of March 15th, the questionnaire has been finalized, the survey has been pre-tested in France, and we are expected to launch the survey in all countries by the end of March.
The 2016 survey findings will be valuable to policymakers, researchers and journalists in benchmarking the U.S. health system against its industrialized country peers , tracking its performance overall, and gaining insights from other countries into what are best practices in policy and care delivery.
