The U.S. is not alone in its efforts to improve health care quality, safety, and efficiency, says Commonwealth Fund research associate David Squires, M.A., in a new blog post. Noting that "we are in an era of health reform around the world," Squires highlights two new publications in the Fund’s International Innovation series, one on no-fault malpractice systems for compensating injured patients in New Zealand, Sweden, and Denmark, and another on the insurance exchanges that govern health insurance markets in the Netherlands and Switzerland.
