A new package of measures has been announced for the next phase of the Prime Minister's Challenge on Dementia. The Challenge includes a plan to provide training to 1 million volunteers to support people with dementia in their community; makes available up to £50 million to NHS Trusts and local authorities to create specially adapted hospital units and home care spaces for people with dementia; and provides £9.6 million for dementia research.
