The Netherlands has ranked first in the Euro Health Consumer Index, which measures how satisfied citizens are with their health care system. Followed by Denmark, Iceland, Luxembourg, and Belgium, the Netherlands offers patients the best arrangement for participating in health care decisions and policymaking, according to the report. This is the third year in a row that the Dutch health care system has placed at the top of the index, which bases its ranking on public statistics, patient polls, and its own research.
