Look for new and updated data later this week on WhyNotTheBest.org, The Commonwealth Fund's free performance benchmarking tool. For the first time, we will report on:
- the incidence of MRSA and C.diff. infections;
- timely and effective stroke care;
- blood clot prevention and treatment; and
- rates of early elective deliveries.
Also look for updated data on recommended care for heart attacks, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgery; patients' experiences; timely emergency department care; vaccination rates; Medicare payments; and other types of health care–associated infections.
