Australia’s popular after-hours general practitioners (GP) helpline is now available in Queensland. In July 2011, the Australian Government established the after-hours GP helpline, which allows people to call in to speak with a doctor and get expert medical advice where and when they need it—including at night, on weekends, and on public holidays. The helpline has already been available to those living in the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia, and Western Australia.
