The German Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care, in collaboration with the Association of Austrian Social Security Institutions and Cochrane Austria, has launched “MedBusters,” a new mobile health information app. The app, which is available for free on both Android and Apple devices, offers independently sourced, easily understandable, and evidence-based health information for consumers. The app offers health information that gives an objective analysis of news headlines by examining the available scientific evidence. Users can search for information by topic or submit their own articles for myth-busting by a team of experts.
