The Australian government has provided more than half a million Australian dollars in funding to help design a new digital platform to expand outreach to young people struggling with mental health issues. ReachOut, a youth-focused online mental health organization, unveiled its new ReachOut Next Generation platform that will provide support with bullying, exam stress, sexuality, substance use, and other issues. The platform was designed to reach rural and diverse populations, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. ReachOut already serves over 1.58 million Australians, and is expected to add another 1 million users with the new platform.
