A New Zealand health system is piloting indici, a health information app similar to the Facebook platform that provides a medical information feed for patients and their medical providers as well as messaging and videoconferencing functions for patient–provider communication. Patients can add information, share their feed with anyone they’d like, and track their medical history and treatment in one place. The technology is now being piloted among general practitioners and is expected to be expanded to include other providers.
