During an Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) health ministers’ conference, French Minister for Health Marisol Touraine called for international cooperation on the pricing of innovative drugs in order to achieve equitable access. Touraine suggested this cooperation could take place through the OECD, which in September 2016 was assigned by member states to issue recommendations on the pricing of innovative treatments by the end of 2017.
