The Swiss government plans to limit the size of the premium discounts offered to people who choose health plans with higher deductibles. Previously, people choosing the highest deductible of CHF2500 per year, rather than the standard CHF300 deductible, could get an annual premium discount of up to CHF1540. With the new law, the discount would be limited to 50 percent of the deductible, with a maximum of CHF1100 per year.
