In 2009, the Hospital Trusts in Norway joined forces and established an enterprise whose aim is to negotiate purchase agreements on behalf of the entire national specialist services. For example, all pharmaceutical products are purchased jointly through bidding rounds. A new report shows that the arrangement has been successful, saving 2.5 billion NOK (around $309 million USD) in 2016.
