New Zealand Increases Funding for Health

New Zealand Health Minister Jonathan Coleman announced an increase of $3.9 billion dollars in health investment over the next four years, bringing the 2017 budget to a record $16.77 billion. The extra funding aims to improve services and access, as well as meet cost pressures and demands stemming from population growth. Other goals include increasing wages for health care and disability support workers and offering innovative mental health services and other population health services.
