Millions More Latinos Are Insured Because of the ACA

The ACA lowered the uninsured rate for working-age Latino adults from 43.2 percent in 2010 to 24.8 percent in 2016, as millions gained health coverage. In a new To the Point post, The Commonwealth Fund’s Michelle Doty and Sara Collins report that while uninsured rates have also fallen significantly for whites and blacks, the nearly 20-point decline among Latinos is the largest of any ethnic group.
